Beach Party with LD Systems – LD Systems VA8 Line Array at Papeete Beach in Italy

Many will remember this feeling from their childhood: Summer holidays in Italy – complete with packed beaches. Even today, it still draws the masses towards both Italian coasts – the Riviera in the West and the Adriatic in the East. The latter is also the location of the nationwide well-known seaside resort of Milano Marittima, which offers its visitors a very special party location in the form of Papeete beach. A VA8 line array system from LD Systems provides perfect beach-party sound.
Every weekend from May to September, the Papeete Beach Bar on the beach in Milano Marittima is transformed into an outdoor beach party. As soon as the sun begins to set behind the hotel complexes, it bathes the nearby section of beach in a special light and thousands of people convene, drink in hand, to party to the dance tracks of famous DJs.
Fixed installation for the summer months
Starting this year, organisers and party-goers alike have been able to enjoy an additional attraction: A VA8 line array from the Adam Hall Group’s own brand, LD Systems, which has been providing Papeete Beach with sound all summer long. The basis of the fixed system is 4 x VA8 8″ line array loudspeakers in combination with 2 x V215 15″ bass reflex subwoofers per side. The systems are driven by RAM Audio S 6044 DSP PA power amplifiers.
Targeted Investment
“Previously, the Papeete Beach organisers had been using conventional PA speakers from Electro Voice,” explains Fabio Deambrogio, Adam Hall Sales Manager, Italy. “This year, the competent service provider EPS has invested in a VA8 System from LD Systems, specifically to provide the beach section with a targeted, powerful and consistent sound, without upsetting neighbouring locations.”
The EPS installation specialists were impressed not only by the VA8 line array’s fantastic sound, but also by its excellent price/performance ratio.
