White Light to Receive £1million from Second Round of Government’s Cultural Recovery Fund

WL is delighted to announce that the company is among more than 2,700 recipients to benefit from the latest round of awards from the £1.57billion Cultural Recovery Fund to help the organisation recover and reopen.

WL’s Managing Director Bryan Raven comments: “We are delighted to have received £1million from the Government’s Cultural Recovery Fund. Despite losing well over half our business over the past year, as well as a third of our staff, we have still had to pay full rent and rates as well as top up Furlough so that it (rightfully) matches the London Living Wage. As such, this money will make a significant contribution towards the overheads we still have to pay whilst waiting for the industry to return and will significantly help the company moving forward.

He adds: “It’s also fantastic that the government is recognising companies like ours and the vital role we play as part of the live entertainment industry’s supply chain. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank incentives such as #WeMakeEvents who have tirelessly fought to ensure companies like ours receive financial support and continue to fight for our brilliant freelancers and those who have not been as fortunate as ourselves”.
