Having started my professional career at the Theatre Royal Windsor – after completing the ABTT Theatre Electrics course – I soon moved to working in the West End Theatres of London. Whilst working on the original production of ‘Miss Saigon, I trained in the then emerging, VariLite ™ System - now widely regarded as the pioneer of all modern moving light systems. With a talent for ’Moving Lights’ and, following a beckoning freelance career, I worked as either VariLite Programmer, Moving Light Programmer, or Associate Lighting Designer, on a wealth of different productions. For Theatre these include Once, A Chorus Line, Wizard Of Oz, Legally Blonde, Sister Act, (London, Germany); Priscilla, The Sound Of Music (London, Toronto, & Uk Tour); Margurite (London, Tokyo): The Rocky Horror Show, Desperately Seeking Susan, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (London, Broadway, UK Tour); Grease (London, Brisbane): Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (London, Singapore, Germany) The Beautiful Game, Whistle Down The Wind, Cats (UK Tour, Brazil); Starlight Express (Tour); Our House, Tonight’s The Night, Beauty And The Beast (London, Europe, South Korea); Saturday Night Fever (London, New York); and Jesus Christ Superstar UK Tour, Broadway). For Opera, his work includes Madam Butterfly, Tosca, La Boheme, Romeo & Juliet, Carmen and Aida. In 2002, I led the programming team for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. Other large scale events include the Al Faishal Tower Dubai, The Royal Tournament at Earls Court, ‘Attractions’ for Studio Disney, Paris - and the Millennium Celebrations for Disneyland Paris.''
