Ben C. Roose has a BA (with Honours) in Lighting Design from Rose Bruford College in London. This is the only degree in the UK specifically in lighting design and electrics for live performance, corporate events & architecture. As well as being a professional member of the Association of Lighting Designers he is also a full member of British Equity.

For the past three years Ben has been the Head of Lighting with The New Shakespeare Company at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park in London, UK. Over the past twelve years he has designed lighting and worked as an electrician in many venues including the English National Opera/Coliseum, Royal Opera House, Royal Shakespeare Company, Battersea Arts Centre, Riverside Studios, Robert Atkins Studio, Bloomsbury, Brixton Academy, The Ministry of Sound, and lit the London Opera Players UK tour of Cosi fan Tutte.
As well as production lighting, Ben has consulted for architectural projects including London theatre refurbishments and the restaurant Sumplace in the heart of the West End.

He is now resident in Wichita, KS, USA and has designed lighting there for the City Repertory Theatre, Theatre on Consignment, Wichita Grand Opera, Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, and recently lit last year's American College Dance Festival.
Ben has full working permits for the USA and European Union, which allows him to be legal on both sides of the Atlantic.
