Chris has worked as a Theatre Lighting Designer for the past 30 years,
working with a wide range of companies, lighting Dance, Opera, Musical, and Drama.
He trained at LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) graduating in 1981.
In 1982 he did his first Lighting Design, Swan Lake, for a small Classical Ballet Company, London City Ballet. He then went on to tour and light LCB for 6 years as Resident Lighting Designer. He moved into the Freelance market in the late 80's Lighting and Touring many Musicals, Plays, and Opera. His First West End Shows where Coriolanus And The Winters Tale For the English Shakespeare Company in 1990 at the Aldrich Theatre and Timon Of Athens for the English National Opera at the London Coliseum also in 1990. 
Throughout the 90's he was mainly lighting and touring Musicals including Return To The Forbidden Planet and From A Jack To A King by Bob Carlton with Pola Jones. He Later went on to work with Bob at the Queens Theatre Hornchurch, Lighting many of their in-house rep shows.  
Into the 2000's and Chris became involved in Romania with Ion Caramitru on the Peter Brook
version of Carmen as part of the 2007 European Capital of Culture event in Sibiu, 
and in 2009 on a production of Eugene Onegin with the National Opera in Bucharest and after a 4-year successful run, Eugene Onegin has now transferred to The Sofia National Opera in Bulgaria in 2013.
From 2007 until the present day Chris has Been involved at The National Theatre Bucharest and has 8 shows running in the current rep. 
In 2008 he worked with Alexandra Badea on a production of 69 by Igor Bauersima
at the National Theatre in Timisoara.

Current Lighting Design is for No Man's Land - By Danis Tanovic. Adapted for the Stage and Directed by Alexander Morfov
with a Set Design by Nikola Toromanov for the Macedonian National Theatre in Skopje which opened June 2017. In September 2017 he returned to Bucharest for a Production of Exit The King by Eugene Ionesco Directed by Andrei and Andreea Grosu with a Set Design by Vladimir Turturica. 
In 2018 he will be Opening Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagllacci in Bucharest in March and The Seagull in Skopje in November.
