Cakewalk real-time via REAC/Digital Snake at Technology Show

Following the announcement from Cakewalk about the imminent release of their software developed to allow recording via REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Controller) from the Roland Digital Snake, visitors to the Wyvern Venue Technology Day will benefit from a live demonstration. Martin Thomas from Roland Systems Group will be demonstrating Cakewalk recording in real-time via REAC during the event on the 4th February by recording the evening concert and other events during the day. Roland have developed the REAC digital protocol for their pro audio products to enable transportation of the digital signals producing superb audio quality.

In addition to the Cakewalk demonstration Joe Harbinson is now confirmed for the 14.30 presentation, Joe is an upcoming DJ & producer who has worked with EMI. Joe won the National Juice competition for DJs, beating more than 2,000 entrants and is currently working in a recording studio in London.

Coordinated by Stage Electrics the day promises the opportunity to explore some of the latest in venue technology in an operational setting and consists of a programme of presentations throughout the day from leading equipment manufacturers including Strand, RCF, ETC and Sennheiser together with guided walk around tours and the opportunity to ‘have a go’ in a mini studio. The day will also include a concert at 7.30pm with an evening of live music from Ben Drummond and Bob Heath and Friends in aid of the Prospect Hospice.
