It's hard to see how the production side could be better done. It really is one of those cases where the discipline of a small performance space stimulates creative dividends. Not only are the sets a miracle of concise period evocation and practicality, but they are reinforced with a moody, fine-grained lighting design by Jack Weir, using a range of period light fittings.
