Schreiber AS Alexandre
Biography
Initially interested in photography and cinematography, Alexandre was trained in the analysis and practice of the image in Film Studies at the University of Paris VII. During an intership at the Opéra Bastille lighting department, he discovered a new way of creating images for live performance.
In 2018 he joined the Lighting Design course at the French National Theater School (ENSATT) in Lyon, France. For three years, he trained with Paul Beaureilles during the creation of Les Châtiments directed by David Lescot at the Dijon Opera House, with Annie Leuridant during Au cœur de l'océan by Halory Goerger at the Lille Opera House, and with Olivier Oudiou during Dissection d'une chute de neige directed by Christophe Rauck at the Théâtre du Nord in Lille. He co-signed the lighting design for Leurs enfants après eux, directed by Simon Delétang, which premiered at ENSATT in 2021, and then was performed at the Théâtre du Peuple in Bussang.
He then worked as assistant with Cécile Robin for the creation of Nostalgie 2175, directed by Anne Monfort, and with Julie-Lola Lanteri at the Rennes Opera House for the creation of Zaïde, directed by Louise Vignaud. As lighting designer, he worked on the theater production Kaïros by Nicolas Kerszenbaum and explored other digital or immersive scenographic forms with Ariane Germain, with 62, presented at Les Subsistances (Lyon, France). He designed the lights for a new production of Leo Delibe's opera Lakmé in Albi (France) and assisted Olivier Oudiou for the french production of Anatomy of a suicide (2025) and Presque égal, presque frère (2026) directed by Christophe Rauck at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers. He also worked with Séverine Chavrier at the Comédie de Genève (Geneva, Switzerland) for her new performance Occupations.
His desire to explore and discover other ways of working with light has also led him to collaborate regularly with several Lighting Design studio for international events (HermèsFit Singapore & Jakarta, "L'or de Dior Exhibition" Beijing, Poney Dance Shezhen (China) & Almaty (Kazakhstan), musical Hermès Histories, Chanel Le19M exhibition in Tokyo, etc.) and shows at Disney Live Entertainment in Disneyland Paris.
