Oliver Thomas

Oliver is a production electrician specialising in large-scale theatre productions, with extensive experience across touring and resident shows in the UK and internationally.

After graduating in 2008, he spent a decade working on major touring productions including The Lion King, Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Cats, Matilda, We Will Rock You, and Mary Poppins. This period established a strong technical foundation and a reputation for reliability in complex, high-pressure live environments.

Since finishing touring in 2018, Oliver has worked as a production electrician on a wide range of productions, including The Hunger Games, Starlight Express, Just for One Day, The Great Gatsby, Opening Night, Clueless, &Juliet, and The Last Laugh. These projects span new productions, revivals, and technically ambitious shows, requiring close collaboration with creative and technical teams to deliver consistently high standards.

He is currently working on I’m Every Woman and Avenue Q.

Oliver has recently received the Fred Foster Award for Excellence in Production Electrics 2025, recognising outstanding contribution to the field.
