Nemetschek Vectorworks Named Headline Sponsor for Build New York Live

Teams from around the world will collaborate in a 48-hour virtual, openBIM design
competition on September 21, 2015
Columbia, MD (July 28, 2015)—To further support BIM awareness, global design
software developer Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc.
announces its headline sponsorship of Build New York Live
competition held over 48 hours from Monday, September 21, 2015 at noon ET until
Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at noon ET. Winning teams will receive a prestigious
Build Live award for their "Best Use of Design for BIM."
Nemetschek Vectorworks is partnering with event organizer Asite at a time when new
technology is revolutionizing the way buildings are designed and how the public can
be engaged in the process. By using the power of collaborative working in the cloud
and international developments in interoperability, Build New York Live will
demonstrate the power of these new paradigms for architecture, engineering, planning
and construction.
"Build Earth Live validates openBIM's efficacy as a way for geographically disparate
firms to coordinate BIM projects using an array of technologies through

The event is open to worldwide participants, who can form their own teams or elicit
