The PLASA 2016 has been chalked up as a resounding success by Ambersphere Solutions.  The combination of the demo areas that show cased new products from Clay Paky and Ayrton Lighting and the enthusiastic hospitality of the whole Ambersphere team proved a real winner, attracting a constant stream of visitors: customers both old and new. 

MD Glyn O’Donoghue reflects on the show: “PLASA London was a real success for Ambersphere. We were excited to feature a whole host of new products from our manufacturing partners. From Clay Paky, we highlighted the Scenuis Profile, which won a PLASA Award for Innovation at the show, plus Hepikos the new beam wash partner for Mythos and Sharbar, which is a new 6 beam mirror based LED batten from Clay Paky. We put together a demo-show which was very well received.”

The opposite side of the demo area was dedicated to Ayrton as O’Donoghue explains, “Ayrton introduced a range of new products and fixtures earlier in the year and we were excited to be showing some of the final shipping versions at PLASA. We put together a demo-show highlighting the MagicBurstTM, an insanely bright 64 pixel/3840 LED strobe on a yoke with unlimited pan and tilt, MagicPanelTM FX which is a 5 x 5 LED panel which zooms and the incredible AlienPixTM RS which has 6 individually controllable heads.”

From Robert Juliat, Ambersphere was proud to introduce the Dalis Footlight. It received a judges’ special mention in the PLASA Innovation Awards and was a real attraction for the visitors. “It is a truly unique addition to the innovative Robert Juliat LED range,” says O’Donoghue. “Robert Juliat LED offerings now features a cyc-light, a wash-light, profiles and even a followspot!”

Reprising the sessions that Ambersphere delivered at PLASA Focus in both Glasgow and Leeds, Sam Parsons and Thor André ran training seminars for the new and affordable MA Lighting dot2 range of consoles and explained the new advanced features on the grandMA2 console family, like bitmap effects, network switch management and RDM.   Feedback from attendees was consistently positive.  Will Furze was moved to put his experience in writing: “Just wanted to say thanks for the great class at PLASA today. I don't normally do classes as I like to learn at my own pace without feeling pressured but your friendly welcome put me at ease right away so thank you! Having spent the rest of the afternoon researching, I'm now selling my current console and will put in a dot2 order once it's sold.”

O’Donoghue sums up the three days, “Once again we were able to connect with our current customers as well as meet with new, prospective clients who clearly enjoyed both the Clay Paky and Ayrton demo-shows.  With the whole team on hand we were able to introduce visitors to the features of the MA range of consoles and the new range of fixtures from Robert Juliat.  Everyone also really enjoyed the PLASA show being back home in West London. A complete success all round.”
