Venice Carnival 2026: Claypaky Illuminates the Arsenale Water Show

At the historic Arsenale of Venice, the vast Darsena Grande was transformed into a spectacular open-air stage for Arsenale Water Show 2026 – The Call of Olympia, one of the highlight events of the Venice Carnival. Blending myth, emotion and cutting-edge technology, the immersive production delivered a powerful visual and sonic experience set against the backdrop of the iconic shipyard.

The show featured a fleet of custom-designed Xtylos Aqua, Volero Cube, Volero Batten Aqua and Tambora Flash luminaires from Claypaky, illuminating the floating stage and reflecting off the water's surface to create a mesmerizing lighting spectacle. The ultra-powerful Xtylos Aqua fixtures were positioned on the surrounding buildings, their beams piercing the night sky and casting vivid rays of light across the lagoon.

Claypaky's B-Eye K15 Aqua wash lights were also deployed, submerged in the water to provide dynamic lighting effects from below the surface. Meanwhile, the Volero Cube and Volero Batten Aqua luminaires were installed on the floating stage itself, delivering vibrant, fully IP-rated visual textures and aerial effects.

Tambora Flash strobes were integrated throughout the event site, adding dramatic accents and pulses of energy to the show. The Tambora's ability to withstand extreme weather conditions allowed them to be positioned in exposed outdoor locations, seamlessly integrating them into the challenging performance environment.

Claypaky's innovative lighting solutions, combined with a stunning theatrical production, captivated audiences and cemented the 2026 Venice Carnival as an unforgettable celebration of Venetian culture and artistry.
