ABTT announce ABTT Theatre Show Online in June 2021

Following on from its online debut in June 2020, the ABTT (Association of British Theatre Technicians), the membership organisation setting standards in technical excellence, safety and compliance for theatre and live performance, will once again be celebrating the usual dates of its annual ABTT Theatre Show with the “ABTT Theatre Show Online”. A programme of free online content from Wednesday 9th to Thursday 10th June. These seminars are designed to provide industry professionals with the latest information on a variety of topics while enabling some of the conversation and discussions that always spring up when theatre people come together.

“In real life the ABTT and PLASA are collaborating in September to bring the 2021 editions of both the ABTT Theatre Show and the PLASA Show under one roof. However, we could not let the usual ABTT Theatre Show dates pass without recognition and miss the opportunity to support the live performance practitioners who normally visit us at Alexandra Palace. We are therefore going to present a programme of online sessions which  we hope will inform, enthuse and  provoke some lively conversation.”  Robin Townley, ABTT CEO

Across the two days, this jam packed series of events will be covering topics including ‘Sustainable Productions and Sustainable Buildings’, ‘Re-imagined Futures – Envisaging a Universally Accessible Arts Centre’, ‘Health and Safety when back at work’ , ‘The School Theatre Support Group’, ‘AutoCAD for Performance & Vectorworks’ and many more!

ABTT Theatre Show Online 2021 will run from 9th-10th June. Industry practitioners, apprentices and students of all disciplines are now invited to register for sessions throughout the free two-day programme.
