Blog: White Light at London Fashion Week

 

London Fashion Week is regarded as one of the world’s biggest fashion events, with its catwalk shows and exhibitions drawing the industry’s top names. It returned to the capital last month and having worked on the event for several years, WL was asked once again to supply various technical support on numerous shows. These include: 

 

 

 

 

 

1: SS Daley Autumn/Winter 2023 Collection

 

 

 

 

 

Client: Blonstein
Venue: Outernet

WL Project Manager: George Thruston

 

 

 

 

 

For the SS Daley show, we supplied both the lighting and rigging support. This included a rig of Ayrton Diablos to supplement the in-house rig in Outernet as well as a back-of-house lighting package.

 

 

 

 

 

2: Julian Macdonald Fall/Winter 2023 Collection

 

 

 

 

 

Client: My Beautiful City
Venue: Freemasons Hall
LD: Robert Jones
WL Project Manager: Luke Hance led a team of 12 onsite.

 

 

 

 

 

For the Julian Macdonald event, we supplied a rig of Mac Encore Performances, Elation Dartz, Mac Aura XBs, alongside a Grand MA2 and Luminex control system. We also supplied all of the rigging and back-of-house lighting and power distribution. 

 

 

 

 

 

3: Harris Reed Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear Collection

 

 

 

 

 

Client: Family
Venue: Tate Tanks
LD: Petter Skramstead
WL Project Manager: Tom Tomkins led a team of 8 onsite.

 

 

 

 

 

We supplied a rig of Mac Aura XBs and Robe T1 Profiles controlled by 6 Robospot Remote Followspot systems, alongside a Grand MA2 and Luminex Control System. We also supplied all the back-of-house lighting and power distribution.
