Designer's notes:
In Kunstig Kunst, a female clown takes you on a journey exploring artificial objects. An absurd exploration, which plays with the idea of reality and challenging socially accepted behaviours. When something is artificial, it is man-made, and often a copy of something natural. On the earth, artificial things surround us, from the clothes we wear, to the replica flowers in your dentist's reception. Jelly, the gelatine dessert, that makes all the children at the birthday party go wild, is also artificial. A fruit-flavoured dessert so wobbly and scary, yet still so sugary good. Perhaps the most absurd dessert ever produced? In Kunstig Kunst, a female clown takes on a journey exploring the artificial world. An absurd exploration, which plays with the idea of reality and challenging socially accepted behavior. Anna Marie Synstad Simonsen is collaborating with Tits Up Theatre Company. During the process they have been working as a collective; supporting, viewing and helping each other out, with an aim to create theatre in an inclusive environment.
