The Little Mermaid lighting effect

Rob Sayer and his students at Bath Spa University devised their own ingenious ripple generator to create a reflected water effect on stage using materials and equipment from their lighting lab.

Lighting designer Ben Eng used one X24 Effects Projector to "submerse" his entire stage in a realistic, watery lighting-effect during a production of "The Little Mermaid."
