The 2025 Olivier Awards with Mastercard took place last night at the Royal Albert Hall, London. The ceremony was hosted by Beverley Knight and Billy Porter, who opened the evening with a lively performance of Luck Be a Lady.

As the UK’s leading lighting supplier to the theatre industry, White Light (WL), a d&b solutions company, was once again proud to sponsor the Best Lighting Design award. This year’s accolade was awarded to Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs for their work on Oliver!, currently playing at the Gielgud Theatre.

WL also provided the full lighting rig for the ceremony, and we were delighted to collaborate once again with Lighting Designer Ben Cracknell, Production Electrician Cy Dodimead, and Production Manager Lee Batty, on behalf of SOLT.

Dom Yates, WL’s Head of Lighting, comments: “This was one of the largest rigs we’ve delivered from our Wimbledon warehouse so far this year. It comprised approximately 350 moving lights and 100 LED and conventional fixtures. These included Ayrton Perseos, Robe MegaPointes, Martin MAC Ones, MAC Aura XB’s and XIP’s, GLP X Bar 10’s and 20’s, along with a range of retro Patt 123 and 743 lanterns.

The event also marked the debut of our newly acquired Lightmaster Followspot attachments for the Robe iForte LTX units. Control was managed using grandMA3 Full Size and Lite consoles, supported by a Luminex data and network distribution”
