Designer's notes:
Phase II of this project included enhancements to the first phase plus new additions. Enhancements included additional icicle lights and LED's embedded into scenic. Also, 16 ice finials were added to Sleeping Beauty Castle to create vertical drama. Inside each finial are 4 LED strobe fixtures.
New for 2008:
Two large scenic pieces over the entry turnstiles - These resemble large ice/snow sculptures and are illuminated at night with a total of 26 Philips Color Kinetics ColorCast fixtures. The fixtures run a routine programmed by me in ColorPlay software on a CK iColorPlayer.
Hub Lighting - 11 large trees in our central plaza are illuminated with custom-designed and fabricated white LED webs. There are also 192 random-firing LED strobes and 88 DMX-programmable LED strobes.
Main Street Overhead Garland - Each of 6 overhead garland contains multicolored mini LED lights, multicolored C7 LED lights, white LED lights, 96 random-firing LED strobes, and 16 DMX-programmable LED strobes.
Main Street Christmas Tree - The tree features 4,800 multicolored C9 LED's, 56,200 white LED's, 1,124 random-firing LED strobes, and 179 DMX-programmable LED strobes. The star atop the tree contains 8 Warm-White DMX-programmable LED strobes and 10 Cool-White DMX-programmable LED strobes. The tree alone occupies 817 control channels. The white LED's are arrayed on a pixelmap (1 branch = 1 pixel) across which motion graphics are displayed, allowing fluid, organic shimmer effects.
All new elements were pre-visualized in ESP Vision Beta 2.3 and programmed by multiple programmers across networked GrandMA consoles.
A.L.D. / Lead Programmer - Brian Larsh
Programmers - Brandon Aguilar and Griffin Behm
